This (mostly) has nothing to do with O'Shea Jackson
Alright - I'm sorta watching Death Proof off and on for the second time. Watching these sass talking chicks makes me want to make a good ol' mix to cruise around with my girlfriends and be obnoxious and loud to. I have rocked the hell out of plenty of these songs in the car. The truth is, I think the car is one of the most inspired places to listen to music to.
And yes, this IS one of those late-night Rhapsody mixes... the night, it just does this to me.
Cherry Bomb - The Runaways
Chick Habit - April March
Leader of the Pack - The Shangri-La's
Prefabricated Icon - X-Ray Spex
Bad Girl - New York Dolls
Kiss Me Deadly - Lita Ford
(simply for the - Uh-huh... it ain't no big thing... perfect for car singing)
Hot in the City - Billy Idol
So Alive - Love and Rockets*
*this song reminds me of when my friend Mija and I were driving through Kentucky at like, 3 or 4 in the morning, finally out of this scary stretch of the Appalachians that we had to drive through in the deep, dark night. She put this album in and we totally rocked it while Michelle was passed out in the backseat. In the true spirit of my Bad-Ass Bitches Mix, she's the ultimate, so I have to put this in here.
(why I listened to Jamie by Weezer right after this is beyond me. i have no control after these sometimes)
Straight Outta Compton - NWA
(I lied, I had to pull out old school o'shea and solo o'shea with "it was a good day")
At the end of this scene, everyone has been dropped off at home and I'm on my way home. I play... Bat Out of Hell by Meat Loaf - In just under ten minutes, I have a sore throat from singing too loudly, I have given myself whiplash and I'm spent...
This is what happens when I stay up too late...
